When trying to reply to a message or create a new message in Microsoft
Outlook I get a pop up box saying starting Word as your e-mail editor. It
just stays there and never opens up. Messages continue to come in but no
replies or new messages can be created. Shutting down the system doesn't
correct the problem. Any suggestions?

In outlook
Go to the Tools Menu
Select Options
Select the Mail Format Tab
Uncheck the Box that says Use Office Word 2xxx as you email editor.
That will force outlook to use it's own editor to create emails, instead of
trying to launch word

I suggest you ask in an OUTLOOK group, or better yet in an MSOFFICE
group. Outlook/Word/Office are not part of XP.
