when i try to open outlook, i get an error message that says "unable to open
your default email folders. your profile is not configured." Then outlook
closes. how to I fix the problem so i can open outlook?

You should post your question to the Office or Outlook group. be sure to
include the version of Outlook you have, and what happened before you
started getting the error message. It sounds to me like Outlook was not
installed for you.

Might care to try an Outlook Newsgroup and tell them which version /year /
make / model of Outlook you are using.
