Outlook (XP) Express email tasks

When checking for email OE is checking my current ISP and
an old ISP for email. How do I remove my old ISP from
the "tasks" in Outlook Express.

Internet Explorer, not Office.

He did type "Tools-Accounts-Mail-Remove" above his comment about OE
questions...so I'd say he at least attempted to answer your question before
politely trying to steer you in the right direction. FWIW, we are trying to
educate people on the difference between OE and Outlook so we can try to
eliminate the OE questions in this group. It's unfortunate that Microsoft
chose to name two different products so similarly.

The best way to do that would be to create a news group that is
labeled appropriately for example: microsoft.public.outlookexpress6.
Have you ever approached looking for the right news group from a
novice's point of view? How can anyone expect them to know it's under
microsoft.public.internetexplorer6 ? So what if it is related to IE,
most people look it up under the name then the function. MVP's if you
want to resolve this issue get MS to create an appropriately named NG
to resolve this issue otherwise be happy in the job security that you
will be perpetually educating novices in the difference between OL and
OE. P.S. also get used to putting in the correct name of the NG they
really need as even though it's not an OL question they are looking
for direction which is expected of a real professional.

newsreader instead of the web interface, aren't you?) to show all newsgroups
containing "express". Simple.

_shows_ you the correct group's name, if you insist on using the web
interface. It takes MUCH less time than that, if you use a real newsreader.

looking for help, there is no defense for displaying bad attitudes or

You have no arguement here, this is a NG where people ask for the
answers that includes the answer to where do I go for help even if
they didn't explicitly ask for it. People with the attitude of "what
you dumb sh_t don't you know where to look - how to do a google search
should be take a vacation and let some one else handle the question.

newsgroups. The person in this thread who did not do so in his reply, and

Simple. Click the "Newsgroups" button in the Button Bar and type "express"
in the "Display newsgroups which contain" box right at the top.

Well, you have to add it with the Customize feature, but you can also always
use Tools>Newsgroups or simply type Ctrl-W. Are you the only user of OE
that hasn't looked at the menus?

Actually I look at the menus as they are and decided I didn't want to
use OE as my NG reader Agent is better. OL is my PIM & e-mail reader .
