Outlook vs. Windows Mail

On the new computer we continue to receive all mail through Windows mail.
Nothing comes into the Outlook box. We'd like to eliminate Windows mail and
use strictly the Outlook function. Is this the way to go or should we get rid
of Outlook and use W. Mail? If getting rid of Mail is the route to take, how
do we change the system so that e-mail comes into Outlook?

Thanks very much for your input.

Outlook can import your mail, settings, and address book from Windows Mail.
Then just remove the mail account from Windows Mail.

Start | Default Programs
Make sure Outlook has all three defaults.

Even after you do this, every time you open Windows Mail it will download
all the mail for every account that it has.

If you don't open Windows Mail it won't download or receive any mail.
