Outlook signature & Active X

I have set up Outlook so that a signature is inserted automatically when ever
a new message is started.

When ever I open a new email I receive this message/error: "Your current
security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a
result, the page may not display correctly."

When I click on the error/warning and the email message displays, there is
always what appears to be a little blank image type thing with placeholders
above the signature text.

Is there anything I can do to prevent the error as well as the image thingy
from happening?

Hi There, I came up with this solution for our userbase, quote here in it's
entirity:

"I understand an Active X control error has been causing irritation for our
users wanting to use the new animated GIF style signature.

Unfortunately it is apparently a problem with how MS Word edits HTML and how
that then is interpreted by MS Outlook. One would think that these two
closely related products would handle such things in the same way,
unfortunately they do not, and Microsoft do not even have a solution for this
problem themselves.

Once you have set up your signature according to Neil's instructions you
then need to do the following:

1) Close MS Outlook

2) Go to C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application
Data\Microsoft\Signatures on your machine
you can do this by cutting and pasting the above text in to the Run box at
the windows Start Button menu.

3) Right-click then .htm version of the signature that you created (e.g.
Sig2008.htm as per instructions)

4) Select 'Open With' and then 'Note Pad'

5) Highlight and delete everything from the very first line:

<html xmlns:v="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml"

Down to the end of the second <Style> command:

</style>
<![endif]-->
<style>

So the file should now start with the line:

<!--
/* Font Definitions */

5) Click 'Save'
6) Re-open Outlook, this will have solved your problem. "
