Trouble with Email Signatures

Guest

Outlook 2002, Word 2002. I used the Outlook email signature editor
(Tools-Options-Mail Format-Signatures-Edit) to create some signatures that
contain both text and graphics(a scanned image of the signature). When I try
to create a new email message using the Outlook editor, I get the following
error message:

Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this
page. As a result, the page may not display correctly.

Indeed, the page displays with the text intact, but the graphic image is
missing and just a box is in its place.

I try using Word as the email editor and the signature displays fine,
however, if I want to change to a different signature (like I can do with the
Outlook editor by Insert-Signature) I find no way to do so.

So I need a way to overcome the ActiveX security problem with the Outlook
editor or a way to insert another signature when using Word. ANY HELP WILL
BE APPRECIATED! THANKS.

Try changing the security settings of your Internet Zone to allow ActiveX.

I have tried all the possible security settings: this seems to be something
with office xp and outlook 2003 on the same machine.

Well, I have Outlook 2003 and Office XP on the same machine and I don't have
the problem, so I don't think that's it. I thought I saw something else in
this same newsgroup that suggested another answer.

actually three computers in our office are affected: they had office 2000,
been upgraded to office xp and had outlook 2003 installed. the other
computers are not affected (they were not upgraded from office 2000).
