Outlook shuts down when I hit send/receive

I have three computers who all have Outlook 2002 with Office XP. Outlook was
working fine up until a few months ago when all 3 stopped working properly.
Every time I hit send/receive, the Outlook program shuts down and closes. I
have tried everything. Any suggestions?
