Outlook search not working??

Hi

Can anyone advise on why when I do a search and select the
folder with sub folders option - the search does not
search in any subfolders? I have the sub folders option
ticked, and select the top folder (this shows ticked), the
sub folders do not show as ticked (not sure if they should
or not to be honest but would expect them to). Do the
search and it only does the top folder. Help! - I'm using
IMAP if thats relevant.

Also - in Outlook Express which i previously used when
looking at thge Inbox, broken down into various columns
etc you could horizontally drag/slide bar the screen to
examine all info - i.e who from, subject, date etc. - in
Outlook 2002 I can't seem to do this - is this correct as
its really hard to see all the information on screen?

are the full messages downloaded? outlook can't search on headers only.

the header row is fully customizable - right click on it and choose field
choose if you need to add more. can also right click and choose format
columns to set column size.
