Outlook Rules not working with mail alert icon

I have created a rule that will moving any incoming mail to a particular
folder based on filter conditions

Outlook appears to be moving the mail but strangely does not notify me by
way of a mail icon in the desktop tray

Any idea whats going on?

What version of Outlook? Do you have the system tray alert enabled?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

If in Outlook 2003, use the "Display a Desktop Alert" option, as well as the
"move it to the specified folder" opttion
