Outlook redirect rule

Hi,

I need a workaround for this problem. Basically when my bosses email is on
"redirect" to his other companies email address, the CCs and BC are stripped
so he cannot use "reply to all" or see was included in the email. He uses
the "forward" rule he can see all recipients in the message body but he
doesn't want the "from" to be his own name!

Any help on this would be great!

If you use the "redirect" option instead of the "forward" option this will
achieve this. You can never reply to BCC's anyway - they are always
stripped - because that is the point of BCC - to prevent any recipient
seeing those details.

Is he forwarding inline or as attachment? If he forwards as attachment, he
can open the attachment and reply to it.

yes forwarding does work but the user want the emails to be from the sender
and not themselves!

What version of Outlook? Are you using Exchange server? Outlook does not
support redirect in most cases (without 3rd party tools) - and once he gets
the forwards in his other inbox, he can drag and drop the forwarded message
into the message list - so it will show from the original sender in his
message list.

hi,

I have fixed the problem! I added a server rule on my exchange 2007. The
rule indicated that when a recipient is sent an email then another email is
copied in (this address being my bosses other companies address) and the
system works perfectly! He can see all CC's

Hi-

Can you provide details of the rule that you created to resolve this
problem? We are getting the same complaint from users but your message
doesn't give me enough information to replicate your solution.
