Outlook .pst size dilemma

Hi, I am trying to increase the size of my Outlook .pst folder to the 2gb
size so I can use the '2gb tool' to fix it so I can get into it. I've tried
importing duplicates emails and so far there's 'no change whatsoever' and no
duplicates either (the .pst file IS accessible but only a fraction of the
emails are viewable in Outlook). I have (3) Personal Folders in Outlook
now, I'm getting overwhelmed. Could someone help me start over right, so I
can fix this .pst??

I'm all for removing MS office entirely for now just to reinstall and try
again because my most recent .pst file is currently 1,680,617. That's too
big to view all files in Outlook Premium 2000 SP3 (due to reinstall) but too
small to run the 2gb152.exe file to 'fix' the .pst file.

After I uninstall and reinstall MS Office Premium and all the upgrades, when
I am first asked to import emails,
1) do I just import from the F: drive where I have my latest .pst file
stored? or 2) can I change the location of the MS Office .pst TO the F:
pst file? I plan to install MS Office Prem. on my F: drive because my C:
drive is a fraction the size of my F: drive and F: is where I want the .pst
file to reside.

I am using 2 hard drives, the smaller is used for the XP operating system
w/SP2 but any programs I install go on the 2nd hard drive, partitioned to E:
and F:. I have been installing all programs on F: My Programs (and that's
where I will reinstall MS Office Prem.).

I apologize if I gave more information than you needed or missed anything
needed, please just ask, I just want to get this .pst file accessible. If
there is a Repair Tool that repairs .pst sizes between 1,500,000 kb and
2,000,000kb, that would be helpful too.

TIA for ANY help........katy

Dear,
Why don't u use the SCANPST.EXE to repair this?
Well the question is not so clear - If you want use a pst size of more than
2 GB use OL2003 - it supports 20Gb pst - but you should use the pst file from
the scratch. You can also use the other pst file(other than ver 2003 pst)
under OL2003 but again - it is limited to 1.82 GB
