Outlook pst file

Hi there,
I have a user on Outlook 2000 configured with smtp server settings
profile and logging currently locally to his machine and all his mail is in
a pst file and Outlook mail archives somewhere on the network.
He will be upgraded to Outlook 2000, corporate profile with exchange server
and outlook address book services and using a NT4 domain login and IMAP
server all mail kept on the Exchange server.
How can I bring safely his pst and archives to his new login/profile so he
can read them?
Thanks a lot,
Calin

Is the IMAP server a different server than the Exchange server? If so, the
IMAP account won't keep messages on the Exchange server but in a PST on the
person'f hard drive.

Copy them to a folder where he has access and let him open them with
File>Open>Outlook Data File.
