Outlook properties "show total number of items"

In Outlook you can set each folder's properties to "Show Unread items" or
"Show total number of items". The problem is the default is "Unread", if I
want to change all of my folders to "total number of items", I have to change
it every time. Seems like there would be a way to set the default to
"total...item" or a way to run a macro to set all folders. Unread is nice,
if you have 50 + folders.....
Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks,

The settings are persistent within a pst or mailbox.

Are you using a pst or exchange mailbox? if a pst, are you reusing the pst
or creating a new one?
