Outlook Permanently Requesting Data from Server - Cached Exchange

Jim

Since a recent Microsoft update it appears that Outlook is permanently
requesting data from the server. I have Cached Exchange Mode set - and have
had for 2+ years - but I cannot get Outlook to stop this activity. I have
tried cancelling the server request to no avail.

Anyone help?
Thanks Jim

Version of Outlook?
Are you connecting locally or via RPC over HTTP?
Which updates did you recently install?

I assume the building of your cache file has been fully completed already?
Do you have any other accounts configured in that mail profile?
Which addins do you have installed?

If you have a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook, disable this
integration and try again.
Additionally you can try and see if you have the same issues in Outlook Safe
Mode;
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe

Thanks for the advice - I stopped Outlook and started in safe mode and all
was fine. I then closed and started Outlook normally and it is now OK. I
had previously stopped and started Outlook including restarting Windows and
the problem was always there.
I must remember another time to try safe mode!

Thanks for the help - Jim
