Cancel server request

Hi,

i am running outlook 2007 connected to an Exchange 2000 server in cached
mode over a VPN, no RPCoverHTTP.
i have 5 different profiles. everytime i start up 1 particular profile, it
always hangs on startup. i can't do anything until i click 'Cancel Server
Request', at which point it shows 'disconnected', then after a minute it
connects, then it's another 5 minutes until 'all folders are up to date"

any clue as to why this happens with this one particular profile?
