Outlook OLE registration

Windows 98 SE
600 megahertz Intel Pentium III

I goofed up something trying to make some room on my hard drive. When I
went to Outlook, it wouldn't go to my address book or send/receive email. I
tried it a few times, rebooted, retried -- still wouldn't work.

I popped in the install CD, did the repair errors -- now Outlook will not
come up at all. I get an error message," An OLE registration error occurred.
The program is not properly installed. Run setup again for the program.

I afraid to do a re-install for fear of losing data (contacts, calendar
appointments, saved email, etc.)

What should I do?
