Outlook :make new messages stay marked unread if cursor moves ov.

Hello,
I am looking for how to leave the messages in my inbox marked as unread if
the cursor moves over them and only to be marked as unread if I double click
the item.

Right click on message to mark as Unread.

You don't state your Outlook version, so the following is for Outlook 2003.

Tools>Options>Other>Reading Pane. Uncheck "Mark items an read when viewed
in the Reading Pane".
