Outlook keeps locking up on me. How do I fix this?

I am using Outlook 2003 with Windows XP. When I try to open Outlook, it locks
up. If I can actually open it, it doesn't close. I have to go into Task
Manager and close it. But most of the time when I open Outlook, My cursor
shows "busy". Then when I click anywhere in the window, it shows the program
is not responding. I have downloaded all the service packs, to no avail. Any
suggestions?
 
I'd suggest asking this in a newsgroup related to Outlook.

This newsgroup is for questions about Access, the database product that's
part of Office Professional.
