Outlook freezes

I am having trouble recieving and sending emails as the send button freezes.
I have to close down the programme and then reopen it in order for it to
respond!! I have recently downloaded the latest Norton Antivirous and I
wondered if this has caused the problem. What do I do?

I would create a new Identity (OE, file menu) and see if that works to send,
then "Import" the old mail if it works.
