Outlook freezes during spell check

We have outlook w/ SP3. During spell check, Outlook fails to work.
The application hangs.
Process list shows 100% usage for Outlook.exe.

Upon minimizing open outlook windows, they
will not maximize in size again.

Killing the outlook.exe process and restarting will fix (but any work being
done is
lost)

Any ideas how to fix?

I have a user with the same issue, OL2000 with SP3, when he run spelling on a
6 page message (HTML format) it takes for ever and outlook freezes. we copied
the message content into rich text format message and everything was fine, if
any one has a solution other than this please let us know.thanks
