Outlook Folder Rules - Help

I am using Outlook 2002 SP3
I want to create a rule ( or you tell me what ) so that incoming email will
be sent to different folders:
1. If the sender’s email address is found in my Global Address Book place
the email in my Outlook inbox
2. If the sender’s email address is found in my Contacts from my Outlook
Address Book place the email in my Outlook inbox
3. If the sender’s email address is not found in 1 or 2 place the email in
my Outlook yet to be named Folder

This is my first thought..maybe there is a better way:
Rule1=Move message from people or distribution list/ open Global address
list /shift+select all /move to any folder you want.
Same thing for local Contacts to a different folder...
The remaining messages are the the rest...
still working on that!

Try this

Apply this rule after the message arrives
on this machine only
move it to specified folder
except if from people or distribution list (choose using 'show names from')

This is what I'd try. First, make a rule whose condition is "where sender
is in the specified address book" and make the specified address book
"Contacts". For the action, specify the "stop processing more rules". This
will keep all messages from people in your Contacts in the Inbox.

The second rule should have NO condition. The action should be "move to the
specified folder", with the folder being where you want messages to go. For
this rule, though, include an exception of "except if the sender is in the
specified address book" and should specify either the "Global Address Book"
or, perhaps "All Users" (I didn't test, but you should be able to). This
will move all messages from people NOT in the GAL to the folder you want.
All messages from people in the GAL should remain in the Inbox. Since the
first rule contained the "stop processing more rules" action, this rule
won't look at any messages from people in your Contacts.

The only caveat here is that you'll need to keep Outlook running because any
rule that uses the "specified address book" conditions are client-side rules
because address books are local constructs.
