Outlook Express won't open

Following the renewal of my subscription to Symantec's
Internet Security software, my Outlook Express would not
launch. I get the typical "Shut Down" message with the
following additional info. Error Signature____
AppName: msimn.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1123 ModName:
directdb.dll ModVer: 6.0.2800.1123 Offset: 0000af5e
(the f in the last item could be a small "L"). Any advise
would be appreciated. I have no email capability on my
home PC until this is resolved.

Try the following knowledge base article. I think it address the same issue
you have with your outlook express. The link is given below.

Let me know if this helps, please provide details description about the
version of operating system and outlook express you use to help you better.
