newly installed outlook won't boot



Just re-installed Office 2007 on my older xp computer; programs all work but
for Outlook which quits very shortly after starting to open.
I get this error message:

I've run repair using the installation disk; removed and reinstalled; and
tried the online office diagnostics (which said there was something I needed
that it couldn't download = ??)..

Any suggestions, please?
