outlook express viewing pane

Is there any way to prevent your message from previewing
in the preview pane. We had a virus and did a restore -
previously I had it set that an incoming e-mail when
clicked on once - would not open in the preview pane. Only
if double clicked. Thank you

Open Outlook Express. Click View>Layout. Uncheck "show preview pane". Click
OK.

You also need to check security options in OE to ensure that it is using
the Restricted Sites security zone. And check in Internet Options that
the Restricted Sites security is set to High.
