Outlook Express outgoing email

Recently, on several occasions when sending emails with
attachments, the recipient receives MANY of the same
email message. I have windows xp and am using Outlook
Express (maybe not for much longer). I don't know why
this is happening and am frustrated, along with the
recipients. Does anyone have any solutions. It would be
greatly appreciated.

In Outlook Express, go to Tools > Options > Receipts (tab) Requesting Read
Receipts, make sure that is not checked and under Return Read Receipts >
make sure that "Never Send a Receipt" should be selected.

Disable email scanning of outgoing (and incoming) mail by your anti-virus
application. With a properly configured anti-virus app, such scanning
provides no additional protection and in all likelihood is causing your
problem.
