Outlook Express on Broken Laptop

C

Chrisparkle

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I have had my hard drive from my broken
laptop, which doesn't work anymore, downloaded onto a large USB Portable
Harddisk, hoping to get my old emails back. I have important info there which
I desperately need. However, although Outlook Express is in the Programs
Folder, there aren't any of my old emails or any of the email addresses that
I used. Other stuff is there, like my documents, and my photos and other
programs that I used to use on the old laptop.

Where has my original Outlook Express gone and is there any chance of
getting it back?

My OS is Vista and i have Windows Mail.

Any advice appreciated please

Thanks.

Hi Chris

If you posted this in an Outlook Express newsgroup, you would have more luck
in getting an expert answer. Outlook Express is not the same as Microsoft
Outlook, and is part of Internet Explorer. Microsoft Outlook is part of
Microsoft Office. The names may be quite similar but they aren't the same
applications/e-mail clients.

Click on the link below, then choose your version of Outlook Express, and be
sure to include your version of Outlook Express in the question that you post:

Kathleen, I'm sorry to come back to you but for some reason I cannot reply
to a discussion on a forum or ask a start a new thread on the info you gave
me. The appropriate window is not downloading.

Would you know what the problem is. I do not have any problem submitting
messages in this thread.

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general is the
correct newsgroup. This one is not.
