While reading the newsgroup, Click Tools and take the sub-option
"Get next XXX Headers". To set a value for each set of headers
Click Tools, Options, Read (Tab) and increase the value of the # of
headers to retrieve.

hi jbmoar,

try this:

1. open the tools menu and select "options".
2. click on the "read" tab.

3. towards the bottom, you will see "get xx headers at one time.
you can either uncheck the option, which will let you download all of the
messages at one time or you can change the number to something higher.

4. click apply. then click ok.

hope this helps.

In Outlook Express Select the newsgroup, select File -> Properties
select the "Local File" tab and press "Reset" button. Then go into
Tools -> Options select the "Read" tab and mid-way down
you will find the the maximum number of articles to retreive
when you select a newsgroup or by selecting Edit -> Tools
Get Next XXX headers.
Agent is a very user friendly and free newsreader that
you can accomplish the above with a menu item.
