Outlook Express login problem

I am running MS XP Home. I recently had to install a new memory card and had
to repair the OS which went smoothly enough except for a problem I am having
with Outlook Express.

When I open up the program, a 'Manage Identities' Window opens and my
password no longer works. I have been using the same password since I bought
the computer, and have never changed it. I am the only user on the
computer. I can access everything else in my computer fine, except I do not
know how to retrieve (if it's possible) this password.

I set up an Outlook account temporarily but all my files and folders in
Outlook Express are unaccessable without providing the correct password.

Any suggestions?

Hi

Have you tried the Outlook Express News Group:

Thank your for your response. Unforunately I dont see an articel there that
address the problem specifically. Somehow my password was changed when I
either installed a new memory card, updayed to SP2, or repaired the OS using
the repair/reinstall function on the restore CD the system came with. Other
the reinstalling my operating system, I am not sure what I can do to use OE
again. It would seem like there must be a way to retrieve it, I just don't
know how. Thanks for any suggestions.
