Outlook Express in IE6

Windows XP Home SP1. The mail icon in Internet Explorer
won't launch Outlook Express. When you go to Internet
Properties, Programs nothing is listed under e-mail.
Click the drop-down arrow and nothing is there. Outlook
Express launches from a desktop icon and seems to work
ok.
