Outlook Express Folder Import - All methods tried, Zero work.

I have been following threads here for 2 weeks trying to import Outlook
folders and mail. I have my Windows mail account working fine but cannot
import my old OE 6 folders and their contents. I find most of the pointers
here contain steps I cannot do in my XP...eg. set folders unhidden in
Appearances and Themes...I can not see Appearances and Themes. I can find
and import my Windows Identity which will list OE 6 folders but they fail on
import. I can find .dbx folder and copy them but WinMail will not read it.
When I try to export Messages from OE6, no wizard pops up...nothing
happers....ARGGH! I am running out of energy without further help...any easy
rememdies?

Who told you to do that?
In Windows Explorer do Tools-Folder Options-View and unhide files there.

In OE do Tools-Options-Maintenance-Message Store. copy the location and
paste into the addressbar of Windows Explorer.

You need to copy ALL the dbx files, INCLUDING the one called folders.dbx
otherwise WM won't see the files as an OE message store...
