Outlook Express e-mail

I have successfully created through the connection wizard outlook
express e-mail. It went smoothly.

When I began to send e-mail, I received a message "failure to delivered"
With another message "the connection to the sever has failed
POP.Yahoo.com, server SMTP.Yahoo.com protocol SMTP PORT25,secure (ssl)
No, socket. Error 10060, error number 0x800CCC0e"

I have tried using POP.msn and with default outlook express e-mail,
still did not work. I really don't know how to overcome this problem.
I am still learning how to use a computer, which is in itself an
adventure.

Appreciated any suggestions.

You need to have a paid subscription to either Yahoo.com or MSN.com to allow
you to use a POP mail client (ie Outlook Express). Do you have a paid
subscription to either?

No, correct. OE cannot NATIVELY use Yahoo.com free email. the
Third-party app is a workaround, as it will only see (AFAIK) the Yahoo
inbox, and will not connect with any other Yahoo folders...

Natively, schmatively.

YPOPs is certainly a good enough workaround. Instead of configuring
Yahoo for folders, rules, etc., one can easily configure OE. I've been
using it this way for years.
