I am wanting to find out if I can have the same e-mail address on my Desktop
and Laptop. I Have SBC DSL as my internet service and I am using my laptop
and desktop wirelessly. The original e-mail address is on my desktop, but I
just bought my laptop today and would like to be able to check my e-mails on
either machine. So, is it possible for the e-mails to be sent to both
machines at the same time?
Thanks for anyones input on this subject.

This group is not for Outlook Express questions, but since it's actually a
generic mail question, I'll answer it instead of sending you to the Outlook
Express newsgroup.

First, though, mail doesn't get "sent" to any machine except your mail
server. You then use your personal computter to pull those messages from
the server.

You can accesss that mail server from any computer in the world if you
configure the computer to do so. Create an account in the mail client on
your laptop using the same settings as those used on your desktop. Change
both to leave copies of the messages on the server so that even if you
download them with one PC, they'll still be there to download on the other
as well. Choose the option to delete them from the server after so many
days, if you want, or to delete them from the server when the Deleted Items
folder is emptied.

Most definitely you can have one email acct on both computers. First,
understand that email is not tied to any particular computer. When mail is
sent to your address it is stored at your ISP until you remove it (some ISP's
may have a max duration before purging). Go to tools->email
accounts->change. You'll see a checkbox for 'remove from server'. Ensure
that box is NOT checked. You can now load your email to both computers. You
can also configure your email to be removed from the server after a certain
length of time, which you choose.
