outlook express auto-login

I had outlook express set up to automatically log-in to my Telus email
account when I opened outlook express. For some reason it stopped working and
I recieve a message that it was unable to connect to the server. I went back
to manual log-in to see if it was a password concern but it works fine and I
can access my email. I tried to set-up auto log-in again and still the same
porblem. I noticed that I can not enter my password in properties until I
click on "Remember Password" first. I don't recall this happening when I
first set up outlook express. I have ran anti-virus and anti-spyware, nothing
was found, and no changes were made to the computer. The troubleshooting
software/support that came with my internet/email will check the connection
to the server and restore settings, but does not fix my problem. I am
guessing that it is an outlook express problem and not the Telus server.
Where else should I look to try to fix this. Running XP SP2. Using firewall,
antivirus and antispyware provided by Telus ADLS.

I suggest you post in an OE group for more help, and also see
www.insideoe.com

Try microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress (they do bury
those group names pretty well, don't they?)

At what point in the boot sequence is OE set to logon?

It may well be that OE is trying to logon before in Internet connection is
established.

My internet is high speed ADSL always on. I have to open outlook express from
the start menu before it will connect.
