outlook express 6 /sp2

For some reason, when I open outlook , I have to sign in and enter a
password everytime to get my mail, I used to set it so it would just sign in
, but now for some reason, even when I have told outlook to use the signin
name and password, its still asking me for a password, How can I get around
this or what is wrong,? I need help, I'm getting tired of always entering
my password. Can anyone tell me how to get around this probem.

This is an Access newsgroup, not an Outlook newsgroup. Did you even look at
the messages here before adding yours?

Pat,

Your problem may be one of two:
One - Go to your control panel and click on the mail icon. Click on the
profiles button and this will show you the mail profiles that are set up on
your computer. You may have more than one entered here (usually if multiple
people are using the same computer).

Two: If you see your profile go into its properties and then into the email
accounts button. Click view current setting - Then double click on your
account in the list to see it's properties. Make sure under the log on
section that there is your vaild user name and password present and that the
check box to remember password is checked.

Save these setting and give it a try.
