Outlook / Excel 2007 problem

I have Office 2007. In Excel 2007, when i m working on the simple excel file
which has no formulas and functions at all, and its not even a huge file. The
file has just 90 rows of data filled in it.

It also hangs the PC and Outlook also freezes. The CPU Usage comes to 8%. I
also have enough free space in my PC.

I get the error message as "Excel cannot complete this task with available
resources. Choose less data or close other applications"

It does work for a while without the error, if i restart the PC and then
open this excel file. I cannot afford to restart my PC 4-5 times a day.

Do you think this could be a problem because of 1 GB RAM?

If the PC hangs so will outlook
Have you run Office diagnostics?
But if the problem goes away after reboot it sounds like one of your
background programs is causing the issue.
Try either opening msconfg and disabling all startups, then reboot, except
the warning msg, then retest. or
Start the PC in safe mode with networking, then retest

What's Outlook's role in this according to you?
For instance, this doesn't happen when Outlook is closed.
Otherwise, it is an Excel issue and you should consult in the Excel
newsgroups instead.

Good luck!
