Outlook email links no longer work

Have tried all suggestions to date, but links still do not work on any
'external' ads coming in. A simple link in an email does work. I save ads to
a 'favorite places' type folder and open it using another browser and they
can be opened. Could the Outlook browser have been hijacked? Maybe an MS
Office re-install???
