Outlook checks email when I'm not connected?

Brett

I use a dial-up connection and have Outlook set to never dial-in.
Because of Netzero, Outlook can't be configured to dial-in. Outlook
is setup to check email auto every 30 minutes. If I'm offline, errors
appear because Outlook can't connect. Why doesn't it recognize that
I'm offline and not try to connect?

Thanks,
Brett

Outlook is not aware of your internet connection status unless you tell it.
File > Work Offline.
Also, Outlook would not be polling unless you told it to. If it can't dial
in, why did you enable automatic polling?
