Outlook 2003 connection - VISTA compatability issue?

Gene

Running Office 2003 on a dell laptop with Vista. Outlook was running fine,
but when I went to sin in yesterday and check e-mail it wouldn't work.
Received error message 0x80040216, connection is offline.

I checked the "work offline" box, and it shows that I'm online. Yet I can't
get my email. And somehow Outlook took itself offline. I've read that there
are some compatability issues.

Any ideas? Or should I just install Outlook 2007? Any assistance appreciated.

Thanks.

Which mail account type are you using?
What is the error in full?
