Exchange Calendar posting items issue (Outlook 2007)

B

brent

1)Vista Ultimate PC (wired internet) - Exchange/Outlook email and calendar
syncing works perfect.
2)Samsung Blackjack with Activesync - Exchange/Outlook email and calendar
syncing works perfect.
3)Vista Home Premium PC (wifi) - Exchange/Outlook email works perfect BUT
calendar not allowing me to post new items.

When on laptop and trying to add new calendar item, Exchange says that it
could not save cal item because I am offline EVEN though I am online and
Outlook says Connected. Email works perfect everytime no questions.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Definitely all updates have been installed. This started happening around
mid-June. This is affecting only my 32-bit laptop not my 64-bit PC. I have
tried restarting Outlook multiple times a day. This also only affects
calendar, contacts and tasks but not email or notes. Were there any 64-bit
specific updates to Outlook 2007 that may have affected RPC since June?

Thanks Diane for any help you can provide!!

There aren't any office/exchange updates specifically targeted to x64- but
its possible one of the windows updates affected it.

I would also try resetting the view on the folder and a new profile.
Deleting the forms cache might be a good idea too. See
http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/formscache.htm if you don't know how to
clear it.

Diane,

I must apologize. My 64-bit PC works fine and my 32-bit Laptop does not so
there is no way a 64-bit update affected my laptop ;)

I just tried clearing the Custom Forms and when first trying to even click
on the custom Forms button I got an error stating: "The information for Send
On Behalf cannot be displayed. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is
unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action."
which is similar with the exception of the Send On Behalf stuff to when I try
to create a Calendar, Task, or Contact. If I click OK to get past the error,
the Custom Form area does come up after a long wait and I am able to Clear
the Forms Cache as suggested. I have restarted and the issue still exists.

How much to pay you to take a look? ;)

Diane,

I found another posting in this forum that sounds exactly like my issue but
there was no final resolution...

"Subject: Outlook 2007 calendar items won't save after SP2 installed" by MTSC
