Outlook changes single day calendar entry to a weekly recurring en

I regularly set appointments in Outlook 2007. Virtually all of them are
single occurrence calendar entries (I know how to set recurrences). However,
I will often later go back into the calendar and find that Outlook has
somehow modified some, but not all, the calendar entries to become weekly
recurring appointments when they were not originally set to be recurring
appointments. Is this a bug? Is there anything to do about this? I do
sychronize with a Blackberry, but do not believe this is an issue.

Well-known issue, the solution to which has been posted innumerable times
both here and in Dell's support forums. Here's a post in the latter from
February 8, 2007 pointing at a post here from December 27, 2006
