outlook attachments saved in wrong location from Word etc.

Hi, when a user opens say a Word or Excell attachment from
outlook 2000 and then does a "save as" from the
application the file is not saved in the default folder
according to Word or Excel settings, but in some Temporary
Internet Folder. Any clues? This only happens on
attachments in opened in Outlook, if a file from some
other location is opened then the default works.

This is normal behaviour though. When you open an
attachment directly from Outlook it has too read the file
from some place and that is the temp folder. When you do
a save as... the first location to show up is the folder
where the original (in this case the temp-file) is
located (in this case the temp folder).

Some of my users have lost some hours of work through
this as the temps got cleared. I'd rather see Outlook
open a "read only" version of the file but I think I got
most of them trained to save before edit and to think
about where they put their files.
