Outlook as default email client

When I go into properties of internet explorer and try to
select outlook as the default email client, it's not
listed. Outlook express, hotmail are the only ones there.

I can't seem to find any help on this. Any ideas? I'm
using Windows 98se, Office Pro 2000, ie 6.0.
