How can I get Outlook to open from the Start Menu?

I've just installed Outlook 2003 on my desktop, and have set it up as the
default email client. It was automatically pinned to the Start menu, but I
can't open it. Clicking on the pinned Outlook icon results in the Internet
Properties dialogue box opening. If I right-click the icon, I'm given the
choice of "Internet Properties" or "remove from this list". Changing the
client to Outlook Express or Hotmail sees the link performing normally, but
it won't have it in Outlook.

Any suggestions?

What link are you clicking? Is it the "E-mail" link at the top left?
Right-click your Start Menu and choose Properties. Click Customize. Look
at the "Show on Start menu" section toward the bottom. What's in the
"E-mail" drop-down?
