Outlook - Application Error - PLEASE HELP

M

Mladen J.

Errors come from two different machines. Symptoms are same; Outlook closes on
them instantly. It doesn't occur all the time but periodically it'll happen.
Outlook 2007 has two addins. 1) MSCRMAddin, 2) PST Backup

Has anyone experienced something like this? All help is needed. Thanks in
advance.

You may want to update your NIC driver, one of the bits of information I
found on the first error is that if it's tied to catergory (101), it could be
a NIC issue. The poster had resolved their issue by either updating the NIC
driver or replacing the NIC altogether.

Another suggestion is that if this was an in place upgrade from 2003, you
may want to uninstall and do a fresh, clean install of 2007.

I've also seen some people have this issue if they run CutePDF. Uninstalling
it resolved the problem.

Unfortunately, that's all I've got on it. Hopefully someone else can come
along and give you something a little more helpful if the above doesn't work
for you or apply.

Thank you for your reply K. Orlando,

This was not an upgrade it was fresh install of Office 2007. IT has all the
latest updates.

CutePDF not installed on any of the clients machines.

First, I'll update the NIC driver then if that doesn't work, another method
I’ll try inserting another NIC card on clients computer. Will let you know
what happens with this.

Have you tested the user profiles on other PC's in the organization? If the
problem follows from machine to machine, it is likely profile-based. Try
deleting and recreating the Outlook profile to see if it resolves the issue.

Another thing to test is to remove all the Add ins to see if Outlook runs
correctly. If it does, you know it's one of the Add Ins. Put them back, one
at a time to see which one causes the problems.

Hey Orlando,

Yes I have tested user profiles on other PC by swapping a new machine and it
still generates the same issue. Which Profile are you referring to Local
computer profile or Mailbox profile?

Well as far as I can tell the breakdown starts with Addins. I for instance
have Addins such as Xobni and PST Backup Utility in Outlook 2007 and have
never generated nor experienced a crash or application hangs with Outlook. On
the other hand my client who is experiencing this problem has outlook 2007
installed, XOBNI add in, PST Backup Utility and MSCRM Client. My gut is
telling me it’s CRM Client for Outlook that’s causing this because I did
notice MSCRMaddin Errors in event viewer. I posted another topic under
outlook.crm discussion board.
