Outlook 2003 crashed after installing IE7

Hello!

My Microsoft Outlook 2003 crases after IE7 installation with error mshtml.dll.
This is reproduceable with any HTML message.

Start your Microsoft Outlook 2003 (connected to an excahnge server) and open
a HTML Message --> (my) Outlook crashed with mshtml.dll error message.

My system in newly installed and all works well except Outlook after IE7.

I hope anyone can help me.

I have the exact same issue with every single HTML message... Microsoft, is
there a fix?

In Outlook, try Help>Detect and Repair. You may need your installation
disks.

Start your Microsoft Outlook 2003 (connected to an excahnge server)

I can't reproduce it. Outlook 2003/Exchange 2003 and IE7 work fine for me
with all messages formats.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for your suggestion, but the detect and repair does not solve the
issue... I wonder if this is related to installed plug-ins. Rainer, do you
have a plugin in Outlook. I have a Voice-over-IP softphone connected to
Outlook. Maybe I should remove that one...

This is a fresh install of IE7 on XP with Office 2003. My system was
cleanly installed a few weeks ago. Before the wipe I had IE7 Beta on my
system with no problems... Strange.... IE7 also works on the same mailbox
with Vista and Office 2007...

Hi Wim,

Yes, I have a phone client plug-in installed. (Swyx Software phone client)
I uninstalled the Outlook phone plug-in on my fresh installed Windows XP SP2
Notebook with IE7 and Office 2003 --> its works for me!!
