Outlook and SendMail help!

Using Outlook 2003, all SP's and updates installed. Trying to connect to s
FreeBSD Sendmail server v. 8.135. When trying to send mail I get:

"Send test e-mail message: The specified server was found, but there was no
response from the server. Please verify that the port and SSL information is
correct."

This only happens with Outlook 2003.
Outlook Express works fine.
Neith the ISP nor we are using SSL.
Outlook 2000, SP 1 works fine

The correct Port is being used?
You might like to enable diagnostic logging to determine what is happening.
