Outlook Address Book

after rebuilding my machine and copying back the backed up .pst file I am
having problems with the address book in outlook2003..
when i try and auto-complete an email address via ctrl-k i get a message
that "the address list could not be displayed. the contacts folder assocaited
with this address list could not be opened, it may have been moved/deleted or
you dont have permissions"... when i click on the contacts tab in outlook
though all the contacts are there? do i need to export them and delete the
address book and rebuild or something?
