Outlook 97 vs. Outlook Express

I recently reinstalled Outlook Office 97. Since then I do not have the
options of what email program I want to use in IE. I did have Outlook
Express as my choice, now my only option is Outlook. How do I get Outlook
Express as an option?

You can change this by opening up IE going to Tools-
Internet Options-Programs, there you can set your default
email client.

Didn't you read this part of the OP's question?

Looks to me like he said that Outlook Express cannot be chosen in IE's
options.

In Outlook Express, the OP should click Tools>Options and click "Make
Default" for the mail option.

Start/Settings/Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs/Internet Explorer. Click
Uninstall and a small window will pop up asking if you want to repair,
restore old installation or uninstall. Click repair and it will give you the
latest version of Outlook Express from the Windows site. Reboot when it tells
you to and OE will be back as a choice as an email program under Internet
Options.
