Outlook 97 and windows XP Pro

Hello all, We have one user with Outlook 97 on a windows xp pro machine and
everything works fine but he has to hit f5 in order to receive his email.
We are internal only. The mail he receives sits in his mailbox untill he
hits F5 to transfer it to his personel folder..

What kind of mail server are you getting your mail from?

a local 5.5 exchange server.. everyone else works except this one guy

Do the other users in the office use a PST file with their mailboxes? Also,
have you tried removing & readding the Exchange service from his profile?
