outlook 203 and Vista Basic

I have a new computer that came with Vista Home Basic. I also have Outlook
2003 on the same computer. Email received from senders in HTML are converted
to plain text and attachments are stripped. The same email received on an XP
computer is not affected. Anyone have any ideas on this issue?

do you have an antivirus or other application (usually a spam scanner or
firewall) scanning email? Outlook itself has an option to display as plain
text but it won't strip attachments off - and you can easily toggle html
display back on.
